Filming Auditions on the “Thirds”
Sometimes it’s great to break things up when you’re filming an audition and not stand smack in the center of frame. You can stand on the “thirds”—on the left or right side of the frame as well. That can add some variety, artfulness, depth. Just one thing to be wary of: Make sure you’re getting your eyelines right when you do this. Or it’s going to look off balance and awkward.
